Introduction 
A sub-contractor in its simplest form is an employee that is not paid by your company, and to that end a sub-contractor record has one piece of information that an employees does not - the "Subcontractor" field.
Using the wizard
- Add New Sub-Contractor Employee Wizard
- On the main navigator screen, double click “wizards”
- Double click “add employee”
- Click “ok” to employee space notification
- Company should be “your company” use drop down menu if you have to
- Click on “Manual assign” and add you sub contractor ID and number wanted e.g – RPS035
- Click next
- Fill out mandatory fields in BOLD –it will all appear in capitals even if caps lock if off.
- If possible fill out “title” and “marital status”
- Ensure gender is correct – male/female.
- Click next
- Complete all address information – state and post code may be auto generated
- Use drop downs to select “Country/Citizenship/Nationality”
- Click next
- Double click on the first cell under “contact” field
- Select type of contact – mobile, office, home… etc.
- Ensure all contact details include area codes – specially for landlines include the “02” then a space then the number
- When entering mobile number – do not place any spaces in number – eg 0412757121.
- Disregard “next of kin” details.
- Click next.
- Date of employment is the same date as the date on their tax file declaration form
- Review date is the same as employment date plus three whole months.
- Type of employment is “CONTRACTOR” (from the drop down box) NO OTHER CHOICE.
- For classification choose “SUBCONTRACTOR” (from the drop down box) NO OTHER CHOICE.
- Disregard “default cost centre” and tick boxes
- Click next.
- Licence Details:-
- Double click on the first cell under “licence” field
- Select type of licence – 1A/1C, SFA… etc.
- Enter the licence number without spaces
- Enter the expiry date
- Repeat the same licence process for each licence sub class and other licence.
On PowerForce First Aid Certificate is a licence. The licence number is the certificate number
- Skill Details:-
- Double click on the first cell under “skill” field
- Select type of licence – RSA/Certificate II Sec OPS… etc.
- Enter the attained date
- Enter the certificate number in the comment field with the RTO name prior to certificate number. For example – “STAT – 1223”
- Repeat the same skill detail process for each skill/certificate.
- Disregard “specific roles” and “specific areas”
- Click next
- Click Finish
Note new employee number on employment forms and you’re done.
